Chapter 8: Catcher in the Rye

In this chapter Holden is at the train station waitng to catch the train to New York . Holden Healy buys magazines but wasn't in the write mood  but When he gets on the train a women approaches him sits down next to him even though there is many empty seats around. She sees the Pency sticker on Holden's suite case and asked if Holden attends there ; they begin to engage in a conversation of if he knew her son Ernest Marrow. Holden says yes saying very good things about her son saying how he was almost class president how he is so modest and shy but in reality he was a real jerk who slapped other people's butts with a sloppy wet towel. Holden gives her his name but lies calling him self Rudolf Schmidt and tells her he is leaving Pency early for an operation on his brain tumber. Holden is very attracted to Ernest mom as she has a telephone voice and offers her for a drink with s smoke but only takes up the smoke then gets off .
