Chapter 5:Catcher in the Rye

 Holden explains how at Pency they serve steak every Saturday night so when parents come on Sunday morning asking what they had for dinner it can seem as if there kids are having a good meal instead of just mush like the other days.after dinner Holden decides to go into town with his friend Mal to see a movie and maybe a bite to eat but feels bad for Ackley because all he does is pop up his pimples on s Saturday night so invites him alon. They didn't watch s movie but had s burger because Mal and Ackey have already seen the film.  After returning to Pency Holden and Ackey our in his dorm but Holden finally tells Ackely to leave because he has to write Stradlates report , but does not write on the subject he was suppose to. Instead Holden writes about his brother Allies baseball glove which had poems written in green ink on the fingers so Allie should have something to do when he was not up to bat. Holden begins to re ethos Allie use to watch Holden play golf after school and we see that Holden begins to have a soft spot for someone. Allie died of cancer and the night he did Holden slept in the garage and broke his hand by breaking all the windows in the garage
